# Get access

> How your Merchant Portal account is provisioned, and how to bring the rest of your team in.

You cannot sign yourself up. Ask your account manager and they will set one up for you.

**1. Give your account manager an address**

Provide an email address for the portal, or ask your account manager to assign one.

It has to be different from any address you use to browse your own storefront as a customer. One
address cannot hold both.

**2. Wait for the provisioning email**

You get an email once your merchant account exists and is ready to use.

**3. Sign in and invite your team**

Once you are in, invite colleagues who need portal access from inside the portal itself. You do
not need to go back to your account manager for each person.

> [Account setup](https://docs.plastics.com/account-setup.md).

## This is separate from storefront access

While your storefront is in demo, its address is guarded by Cloudflare Access, which sends a
one-time code to your email. That is a different mechanism from your portal account, and it exists
to control who can reach the storefront at all.

Getting through Cloudflare Access does not give you a Merchant Portal account, and having a portal
account does not by itself let you browse the storefront as a customer would.
