# How the portal and your storefront fit together

> The admin side of plastics.com, where you manage the brands, products, and deals behind your storefront.

Your **storefront** is the other side of the same thing: the branded catalog your customers browse
and buy from. You work in the portal; they see the storefront.

## What you manage from the portal

> **Brands**
>
> The brands your storefront sells under.

> **Products**
>
> Your catalog: what is listed, and what it says.

> **Deals**
>
> Requests your customers have sent you.

## Two logins, and they are not interchangeable

This trips people up, so it is worth being blunt about it.

| | What it is | How you get in |
| - | - | - |
| **Merchant Portal** | The admin side, where you work | An account your account manager provisions for you |
| **Your storefront** | The catalog your customers see | While in demo, Cloudflare Access guards the address. Browsing as a customer needs its own account |

> [!WARNING]
>
> The email address you use to test your storefront cannot also be used for the Merchant Portal. They
> are separate accounts and need separate addresses.

## What you'll need

* The storefront address your account manager gave you, for example `acme.demo.plastics.com`
* Access to the email address your account manager invited
* A current browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge
