Programmatic access

No. plastics.com does not issue API keys, and there is no supported public REST API, SDK, or client library. Everything runs through the signed-in web application, the Outlook Add-in, or the Website Embed. If a project of yours depends on programmatic access, raise it with your account contact rather than planning around it.
No. There is no way to register an endpoint or subscribe to events, in either direction, and there is no partial version of this to enable. If you need to be told when something changes, describe the event and the receiving system using Support in the account menu.
Not as a self-service connector. The Integrations page lists many ERP, PIM, CRM, and EDI vendors, but each of those tiles is a Contact Us button rather than a connector you can switch on. Choosing it opens a pre-addressed email to our support address with the vendor name already in the subject line. Connecting those systems is arranged as a project with our team. The integrations that are actually built and documented are the Outlook Add-in, the Website Embed, and the Microsoft 365 Mail connection. See Integrations.
No. There are no notification, alert, or email preferences anywhere in the product. The only setting on your profile is the unit system. Account email such as invitations and address verification is sent automatically and cannot be switched on or off.

Accounts and organizations

Open the account menu and choose Invite, or go to Organization and use Invite Users. Invitees join your organization with a standard member role, and if you hold a merchant role they join as a merchant member. The Invites tab on the Organization page lists invitations that have already gone out.
You can sign in with one, but a personal or free email domain cannot be attached to an organization. Organization stays greyed out in the account menu, and anyone you invite is prompted to create their own organization instead of joining yours. Use your work email address.
On User profile, in the Security card. Sign-in credentials and multi-factor settings are managed by the identity provider behind that card.

Using the platform

Yes. Go to User profile, then Preferences, then Unit System, and choose Metric (SI) or Imperial (US). Accounts start on metric. This is a per-person setting, so changing it does not affect your colleagues.
Yes, if you are a merchant admin. On the Product Discovery agent page you can switch four capabilities on or off: Side-by-side comparison, Find alternatives, Datasheet analysis, and Image upload. All four start on. Catalog and knowledge base search always stay on. Switching one off removes the matching buttons and slash commands for buyers.
Yes. On the Knowledge base page, turn on Organization-only answers. The assistant then cites only the documents your organization has uploaded there, and not the wider platform knowledge base. Expect fewer answers as a result, since questions outside your own documents will no longer be covered.
PDF and Word (.docx) files, up to ten at a time. Technical datasheets and safety datasheets must be PDF. You can also point the knowledge base at pages on your own website instead of uploading files.
Yes. On the merchant Pricing page, download the template, fill it in, then use Upload CSV. The file needs the columns trade_name, warehouse_name, price_per_unit, unit, min_quantity, max_quantity, lead_time_days, valid_from, valid_to, and payment_terms. Export downloads your current pricing in the same shape.
Open the account menu and choose Support. Give it a subject and describe the problem, and it raises a ticket with our team. The form takes text only, so if you have a screenshot or a file, say so and we will follow up by email.
